#16 Red Velvet Ant
Despite its sweet name, Red Velvet Ants are also called Cow Killers for a reason. These insects are wingless female wasps and are practically invincible, thanks to their powerful exoskeleton, long-range defense mechanisms, and their lethal sting.
Upon testing against wasp predators, the red velvet ant was nearly immune to all attacks. With the few successful predators, fatal consequences were soon suffered.
To humans, their venom is only mildly toxic but is extremely painful. They tend to avoid human interactions but when provoked, these wasps will attack with an extremely painful sting often likened to an electric shock.
