#23 Horsefly
Despite its name, a Horsefly attacks most large mammals, even humans. They are dangerous for horses but are generally harmless for humans, even with its painful bite.
Horseflies anchor themselves to your skin by biting down, leaving behind a cut. Their bites are immediately identifiable because it quickly turns into painful hives that spread to surrounding areas.
This could also trigger a dangerous allergic reaction or leave behind infection-causing bacteria in the cut.
