#41 Emerald Ash Borers
Just like mountain pine beetles, emerald ash borers aren’t dangerous because of any disease-spreading orphysical pain-inflicting reasons. Instead, they’re dangerous to the economy.
This is because billions and billions of dollars in revenue are attached to forest-based activities, including tourism and manufacturing.
The emerald ash borer is an invasive species that encroaches on the success of this industry as they destroy ashtrees, taking with them huge numbers of the fauna and ruining them as animalhabitats.
