Tourists all around the world are not exactly known for their exemplary behaviour. They end up littering, defaming places, sometimes even damaging precious monuments.
These kinds of incidences lead to certain countries being shamed for the behaviour of their citizens and China is no stranger to this. There were so many reports about the misbehaviour of Chinese nationals that in 2013, officials, ashamed by their country’s reputation, decided to pass the Tourist’s Law of the People’s Republic of China’ that aired mandates on television about how to behave in other countries, including penalties for those who don’t comply!
