China is known for its manufacturing proficiency. it houses one of Apple’s biggest manufacturing plants named Foxconn.
Upon entering the building, employees pass through rigorous and tight security details set up to assure no photos are taken. Management was deemed to be strict and working conditions dismal. These extreme conditions along with unfavourable pay pushed many employees over the edge. Quite literally!
Things got so bad, Foxconn had to construct nets outside building premises to prevent employees from jumping to their deaths. Alongside, they more than doubled each employee’s pay, even though they claim it had nothing to do with the crisis.
